Is eobee medical or legal advice?
No. eobee is a decision-support tool that helps you understand your plan, audit your bills, and get organized for an appeal. For diagnosis, treatment, or legal action, talk to a licensed professional.
Do you store my insurance card?
We store the structured fields we extract from the card (plan name, ID, copays, network) so the app can answer questions and audit claims. The raw card image is deleted from our servers after extraction.
What happens to the audio recording after transcription?
The raw audio is deleted from our servers as soon as the transcript is saved on your claim. The transcript itself stays with your claim so you can reference it later.
Is eobee HIPAA compliant?
eobee is a consumer health app, not a HIPAA Covered Entity - HIPAA applies to providers, insurers, and their business associates. That said, we apply HIPAA-grade security posture (TLS, per-user isolation, encrypted at rest, audit logs) as defense in depth. Full details on the privacy page.
Is my data sold or shared with advertisers?
No. eobee doesn't run ads, doesn't share your records with marketers, and doesn't sell any data derived from your plan or claims.
What does eobee cost?
During closed alpha, eobee is free. Long-term pricing will be announced before the public launch - any change will be communicated to existing users with plenty of notice.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
From inside the app: Settings → Delete account. That removes your user record, claims, plan, and any files we still hold. You can also email marcus.salinas@jippylong12.xyz and we'll do it manually.
Which states are supported for appeals?
The appeal playbook works nationwide; state-specific consumer protection tips are surfaced based on the state you set in your profile. More state-level rules are added over time.
